With 20 years of experience, including a B.S. in interior architecture from San Jose State University and through various commercial and residential firms throughout the bay area, Kara Silkwood combines knowledge and creative thinking to design a space specific to your needs and lifestyle.

our process 

• Define scope and budget

• Field study and measurements of existing space. 

• Initial space plan with 2D and 3D design concepts.

• Collaboration with key partners with initial cost estimates as well as design direction.

• Selection of overall design scheme including architectural features, finishes, fixtures, colors, materials and paint selections.

• Sourcing as well as designing custom furniture, cabinetry, window treatments, lighting, artwork and accessories.

• Ordering, tracking, inspection, delivery and installation of all furniture and accessories.

• Partnering with industry professionals such as architects, contractors, and engineers.

• Coordinate with art consultants as needed.
